September Campout 2008 The 2008 campout was the fall camporee at Wapsipinicon State Park. The theme was the Scottish Highlands. There were many different events that scouts could participate in. In one contest you tried to use an ax to split a match within 3 attempts. In another scouts were timed on how long it took to saw part of a log. There were many other events, such as spear throwing, a first aid quiz, a stretcher relay, and the caber toss, in which you attempt to balance and flip a log. Some scouts also toured the nearby Ice Cave. With sunny weather and many fun games, it was an excellent campout.
